Adrian Mikeliunas is an internationally acclaimed speaker, expert security practitioner, technical trainer and a security audit consultant. In addition to teaching for the Megamind Training Institute and George Washington University, he has helped many organizations achieve results and become more productive while reducing costs, with the proper use of technology for over 30 years. Having a solid education both in Spanish and French from Le Lycee Francais of Montevideo, Urguay, and after careful analysis of the computer field, Adrian decided to focus both on computers and their business applications when he arrived in the U.S. in 1979. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Security Standards Council Quality Security Assessor (PCI QSA), and a Certified Linux Professional and Instructor (CLP). He is an APMG certified as a CISA instructor.
For the past 30 years, Adrian’s broad computer systems experience includes serving as a project leader, security engineer, systems analyst, database designer, programmer, and an expert technical instructor.
He has extensive experience with personal computers, mainframes, LANs and WANs. Specializing in computer security training and consulting, he shares his broad knowledge through the classes he teaches, including, but not limited to: CISSP Prep Boot Camp, CISA Prep Boot Camp, Cloud Security, Cyber Security, Android, HTML 5.0, UNIX, Linux, and MS Windows OS training courses.
As a seasoned expert security practitioner, Adrian has conducted computer security training and security audit services for numerous financial entities, including: Swift Bank, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), most notably.
For the past 2 years, Adrian has worked for the Department Health Agency (DHA) within the Department of Defense as a Sr. Security Engineering Consultant. Prior to working for the DoD, Adrian was the Principal of Technology Security for 7 years at AT&T (formerly VeriSign) in the Network Operations Division of AT&T. While at AT&T, he was responsible for security services for the public and private sectors. Prior to AT&T, Adrian served as a Technology Risk Management Professional for Jefferson Wells International where he conducted both internal and external vulnerability assessments for a number of clients, including the government. He has worked in Information Security roles —- advising clients on security issues, both in technical, managerial and operational areas for Accenture’s Federal Services Division. Adrian began his career with The World Bank Group as an independent computer consultant for 12 years. There he designed and delivered an Information Security Program, and presented Internet Security Training to World Bank staff, including: senior managers, system administrators and other engineers.
